- Three board members serving on the Economic and Environmental
Consensus Committee have worked to see that the concepts CURG
identified as critical to support a sustainable community were adopted
as part of Blueprint 2000
(Water resource protection, comp plan implementation, implementing
sustainable community goals providing for a healthy environment, a
vibrant economy, and a thriving social/cultural community, and
advancing dialogue with developers and the business community).
- Board members speak at public hearings on behalf of CURG members
and on issues of priority to CURG.

- Board members are panelists on various growth-related symposiums
and forums and speak on growth issues and sustainable community

These are some of the ways CURG helps its coalition members and
promotes the concepts of a sustainable community. In the past, we have
also sponsored and organized classes and/or forums to help citizens
understand the comprehensive planning process and sustainable community
concepts. CURG board members have worked on ordinance changes and
process changes which benefit the community. We will continue to do
these things and more. In addition, we will strive to expand our
internet network connections to reach more individuals and improve our
methods of alerts, communications, and notices.
